Spam Help and Tips

There are several ways you can get on a SPAM mailing list. We are going to cover the major two.

Entering your e-mail address online. This can be to download software, sign up for newsletters, e-commerce sites, etc. Be very careful at giving out your e-mail. Try a fake e-mail like none@none.com when in doubt. Some sites require a valid address and will send you the info to log-on or download something with the e-mail address you enter. If this is the case proceed with caution. Read the fine print. Even reputable companies might have a box already checked authorizing them to put you on a mailing list from them or other "fine companies". Uncheck that box when you can.

Website harvesting. If your e-mail address (or one that forwards to your address) is listed on a website you are wide open to be "harvested" and added to one or a thousand e-mail list. This is rarely a common practice with reputable companies but is one of the most common methods used today when generating spam list. There are software packages available (aka harvesters) that can scan 100's of websites simultaniously and build a list. These list are used, sold, resold over and over again. We highly recommend you sheild your e-mail from being harvested on the web. We can encrypt your e-mails so they still are accessable to users, but hidden from 99% of all harvesters. Contact our for information about this service or if you maintain your own website click here to create the code yourself for free.

After the fact ! If you get Junk mail and it has remove me from future mailings or something to that effect at the bottom. THINK TWICE. How much do you trust this person that just SPAMMED you? Truth is... you might be signing up for another list. Beware !
